Grooming Services

Cage-free grooming means your dog is never put in a kennel or crate before, during, or after the appointment. At Ruffin It Ranch, dogs wait in a supervised, open area or with their groomer, and they’re dried by hand instead of in heated cage dryers. That way the visit stays calmer, safer, and more comfortable from drop-off to pickup.

Cage-free grooming lowers stress and removes the overheating risk that comes with cage dryers. Dogs who are anxious, older, have flat faces (like pugs, bulldogs, and Frenchies), or have health issues do especially well without long stretches in a crate. Less stress also means a better grooming experience, and a dog who’s happier about coming back next time.

Most appointments take [2–3 hours], depending on your dog’s size, coat type, and the services you choose. Because we don’t stack dogs in kennels to wait their turn, we can give your dog focused attention. We’ll text you when your pup is ready for pickup.

Yes. Many Ruffin It Ranch clients pair grooming with a day of daycare so their dog can play before or after the appointment. It’s a convenient option for busy Marlboro-area families, and your dog goes home tired, clean, and happy. Ask about adding grooming when you book daycare or a boarding stay.

Ruffin It Ranch is located in Marlboro, NJ, in the heart of Monmouth County. We are conveniently accessible to families in Englishtown, Manalapan, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Freehold, Colts Neck, Tinton Falls and surrounding Central New Jersey towns.

Take your dog for a short walk and a bathroom break before drop-off, and let us know about any health conditions, skin sensitivities, or behavior concerns ahead of time. All dogs need up-to-date vaccinations ([rabies, distemper, and Bordetella]). First-time guests are welcome. We take time to help new dogs get comfortable before we start.

Yes, we do! Ruffin It Ranch offers cat Grooming in a calm, separate area of our facility so your cat can spa comfortably without stress.
